Two more verses

Silence, it has a meaning;
you are controlling the way I’m feeling;
and there’s a danger you’ll wake a liar.

Is it worth the pain to see?

Mmmm… desire

In the quiet my body’s turning:
There is anger, and there is yearning.
Do I speak? Or bank like ashes?
Precious faith, it comes in flashes..

Will you walk me through the fire?

Desire.

  1. Now that’s beautiful song, well sung. Great lyrics, the original and yours. Love the steel guitar on this.

    I’d never heard of Ryan before but I’ll be on the lookout for more of his tunes.

  2. Hey Norm, my dependable music fan!

    It has a bit of colorful language, but my favorite song by this artist, Ryan Adams is called ‘Pick Me Up’. It was featured in the Elizabethtown soundtrack… which is particularly relevant to me.

    Give it a listen if you get the chance.

  3. After commenting here I went looking and realized I’d heard a few of his tunes – just hadn’t remembered his name. ‘Wonderwall’, right?

    Now you have me off on another hunt…. for ‘Pick Me Up’. Thanks.

  4. Hm.

    Oasis did Wonderwall… Ryan Adams may have done a cover of it, but I’m not aware of that. Actually, I donno who the other people are in this video, and one of them *looks* a lot like Liam Gallagher from Oasis, but I don’t think it is.

    I could be wrong though.

  5. His cover of their song (I checked) but you likely know that by now.

    I found and liked Just Pick Me Up – must have another couple of listening sessions through the night.

    Anyway, I was surprised he had been around so long but do recall hearing of him, hearing a few songs and thinking it might have been a problem for him that his name is so similar to Bryan Adams who enjoyed such great success.
