Really good to reflect on the past year. I especially was moved to read about Bob Church. I do remember him from your blog, and I remember also going to visit his blog once or twice, perhaps leaving a comment. I didn’t realize his cancer has progressed. I will visit his blog again.

That’s some year. I try not to look back, lest I share the fate of Lot’s wife. Mistakes were made which I corrected, there were joys, disappointments, smiles, and laughter. ‘Nuff said.

I understand your need to “dig in your heels” and stop time. I see my students grow and change with each passing year. My first Grade 1 class is now in Grade 3. My Grade 3 classes of the past are getting ready to enter Junior High. The only joy is they still remember me, as I remember them, even if they are frozen in my memories as eight-year-olds.

Here’s to you, delightful amuirin. I hope 2009 brings you what you seek.
